How can I email myself an article I found in a database?

Answer

To email yourself a persistent link to an article:

  • First, open the article to the detailed record.
  • Next, select the E-mail tool in the Tools menu.

  • In the E-mail form, fill in the E-mail to, Subject, and Comments fields.  You also have the following options:  Send in plain text format; standard field format; citation format; and customized field.  After filling in the E-mail form, click the Send button.

  • When you see the Email Confirmation message, select the Continue button.

  • An e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address that was shown in the Email Confirmation window.  The e-mail will contain the subject, the persistent link to the article, and the HTML code to cut and paste into a web page.

The screenshots above show how this feature works in our EBSCO databases. However, regardless of the database, you can follow a similar process to email yourself an article.
